My fate was sealed at seven years old, during a visit with my mother to Rome. The works of such old masters as Michelangelo and Bernini filled me with such awe and wonder that I knew I wanted to spend my life creating artwork with that kind of power.

Whether it's heroic portraits of living or historical figures or epic religious paintings and sculptures, my work is designed to inspire, uplift and empower.

Art and aesthetics are expressed by everyone in every age of history. However, few people can articulate why we do so or what purpose it serves. In addition to having been a working artist for decades, I have also spent considerable time finding the words to express what it's all for and why it's of universal interest.

From picking outfits to arranging furniture, everyone participates in aesthetically designing their own lives. Fine art is often the final layer or finishing touch to those environmental designs. Yet few people design their lives thoughtfully and with conscious outcomes in mind.
Throughout history, art has primarily been used to explore and express spirituality. From crudely carved Neolithic deities to gothic cathedrals, art has sought to give form to the formless and clarity to the inexpressible.
In a world filled with trillions of forgettable photographs, nothing conveys authority and success more powerfully than a classical portrait painting. Especially those that create a heroic vision of the person whom they depict, which is my particular specialty.
Imagine the most beautiful room you have ever been in. How would you rate your life and your capabilities if you spent more time in spaces like that? Few things are more supportive of human progress than beauty. And few things are more inspiring than beautiful works of our own creation.
