The Circle of Patrons
A private body aligned with the long-term work of The Gentleman Artist’s Studio
The Circle of Patrons exists to support the studio at a level beyond individual works.
It is not a public offering, nor is it structured around tiered access or escalating privileges.
Its purpose is to provide continuity — allowing the studio to pursue projects whose scale, duration, and subject matter place them outside conventional commercial frameworks.
Participation within the Circle may occur at different levels of support, reflecting the varying capacities and interests of its patrons.
Regardless of level, the relationship remains consistent: a direct connection to the work as it develops, and a position within the longer trajectory of the studio.

Distinction
The studio engages in two fundamentally different forms of support.
Public campaigns are episodic.
They are tied to specific works, with defined timelines and outcomes.
The Circle of Patrons operates independently of these efforts. It is not project-based, and it does not function as a subscription or audience-supported model.
Its role is structural: to sustain the conditions under which the most ambitious works of the studio can be conceived and executed.
The Role of the Circle of Patrons
Patronage, in this context, is not transactional.
It does not correspond to the purchase of a single object, nor to a schedule of deliverables.
It is a longer alignment with the direction of the studio itself.
Those within the Circle make possible a body of work that extends beyond immediate demand — toward subjects that require time, independence, and concentration.
Scope
The support of the Circle is directed toward the studio’s evolving body of work, including:
– Large-scale paintings drawn from religious, mythological, and literary sources
– Sculptural works developed alongside and in dialogue with these compositions
– The gradual establishment of an enduring archive of works and studies
These are not short-term undertakings.
They are built over years, and in some cases, decades.
Relationship
Engagement with the Circle is direct and considered.
Patrons are given a clear view into the development of the work — its progress, its challenges, and its evolution over time.
This is not presented as access, but as context.
The primary relationship remains between the patron and the work itself.
Structure
The Circle is intentionally limited.
Its composition is kept small to preserve clarity of relationship and continuity of support.
Participation is established through direct conversation with the studio and is not open for general enrollment.

The works toward which the studio is moving cannot be produced within the rhythms of the market alone.
They require a different form of backing — one that is patient, deliberate, and aligned with the idea of cultural permanence.
The Circle of Patrons exists for that purpose.
Inquiries may be directed to the studio.
All conversations are handled privately.
